In North Carolina, Gerrius Antoine Davis the alleged hit-and-run driver is allegedly not above running a child down with his car and then leaving the child mortally injured by fleeing the scene. Daniel Brown died from his injuries.

In North Carolina, Gerrius Antoine Davis allegedly ran over a 12-year-old boy, Daniel Brown, and allegedly left the scene without stopping to help the child-victim, leaving him mortally wounded in front of his childhood friend on the cold street on a winters’ day.  This stellar citizen is charged with a felony hit and run and obstruction of justice. And he is already out of jail after posting bond.

Daniel Brown was a student at Albemarle Middle School. His friend that witnessed this tragedy was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle that ran his friend down and left him to die. Mr. Davis allegedly went so far as to hide the vehicle in an attempt to get it repaired when police found it.

The Keane Law Firm represents victims like Daniel Brown and their families, the loved ones left behind to mourn their premature and tragic losses. We represent victimized children nationwide.

In California, Danielle Woodruff was killed by suspected drunk driver Lorenzo Flores. Her wrongful death was preventable.

In California, Danielle Woodruff lost her life because of a suspected drunk driver. She was on her way to a birthday party when Flores hit her head-on. The accident occurred on Highway 20, west of Plantz Road just before 6:00 p.m., January 14th. Both cars were badly damaged. Danielle was taken to Rideout Memorial Hospital where she died shortly after.

Though news stories report motor vehicle collisions involving drunk drivers as car “accidents”; there is nothing “accidental” about collisions involving a drunk driving. The distinction should be emphasized. It is common knowledge that when one drives while intoxicated, one runs the high risk of causing motor vehicle collisions and death. This is no accident. Motor vehicle collisions involving intoxicated or impaired drivers should be referred to as “non-accidental motor vehicle collision”.

A child has died tragically. Her death was preventable. The Keane Law Firm represents children that have been catastrophically injured from negligence. Please call us, the child death law firm for a timely case evaluation at 888-592-KIDS or 415-398-2777.  You may visit our website at www.keanelaw.com – we will determine the facts of the case and file a claim to hold those responsible to pay for the damages. In a child death lawsuit, we will recover for the families of victims. We represent clients nationwide.

Tucker Thayer died at school from a tragic accident with a stage prop.

In Washington County, the family of Tucker Thayer is mourning his loss after a tragic accident with a stage prop. A gun loaded with blanks went off and inflicted mortal injuries just before a stage production was to start at Desert Hills High School. Tucker Thayer was 15 years-old at the time of his death. According to news stories, Tucker’s father, Ron Thayer, says he did not know his son would be handling a prop gun loaded with blanks. The accident occurred around 6:20 pm on Saturday, November 15th. He was pronounced dead by 10:00 pm that same evening. Tucker Thayer was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed helping with stage productions at the high school.

Prop guns loaded with blanks can be just as deadly as those loaded with bullets when fired at close range. The gun uses combustion to fire and propels plastic at high velocity. The material can penetrate vulnerable organs and cause death.

In North Carolina, 13-year-old Tyler McMillan was tied to a tree and left to die. His parents Brice and Sandra McMillan face charges related to child abuse and his death.

In North Carolina, Tyler McMillan was only 13 years-old when he died last June. News stories report that he was tied to a tree as punishment on more than one occasion. This last occasion brought a sad ending to his life. The investigation revealed he was covered with bug bites, bruises and missing flesh from trauma. Wounds on his wrists and ankles have the appearance of previous use of plastic ties around his distal extremities. When he arrived to the hospital his body temperature was 105.6 degrees and he was severely dehydrated. His siblings have been placed in protective custody by the Department of Social Services.

A Hearing in Edgecombe County court is scheduled for January 13, 2009. Sandra and Brice McMillan face murder and felony child abuse charges. Sandra McMillan is the stepmother to Tyler.
