In West Virginia, Theresa and Oscar Hyatt are charged with child neglect for the death of toddler, Danny Cole.

In West Virginia, Theresa and Oscar Hyatt are charged with child neglect for the death of Danny Cole. Danny was three years-old when he died while under the care of the Hyatt couple. The investigation reveals that the Hyatts were babysitting when Danny received a lethal dose of Methadone. In news stories, Theresa Hyatt states “I assume what I gave Cole was Benadryl, why would Methadone be in my car?” That’s a good question; among many questions that Ms. Hyatt will have an opportunity to answer in the future.

Reportedly the infant’s mother had placed him in a crib and then answered the phone. Allegedly, the pit bull went into the baby’s room with the other family dog, a German shepherd. The pit bull picked the baby up and would not release the baby during the struggle to save the baby. News stories report both dogs were euthanized.
