A new program aims to prevent further cases of shaken baby syndrome in Kansas by educating parents of newborns on how much and how often babies cry.  Effective June 1, these parents will watch a DVD describing the facts behind the seemingly chronic crying of new babies, how to respond to crying babies, and how to handle the frustration caused by the tears.  To read more about the program, visit the Shaken Baby Syndrome blog post on excessive crying (DVD To Parents of Newborns:  Excessive Crying is Normal).
