In Berkley, Lamar Franklin faces charges of murder and assault for the death of his infant son. Mr. Franklin was with his son when a 911 call was made for a baby choking at a home on the 1300 block of Ward Street. The baby was rushed emergently to Children’s Hospital-Oakland. Doctor’s diagnosed the infant with injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome before he died.  

Mr. Franklin is held without bail in the Santa Rita jail in Dublin. He faces charges of murder and assault resulting in the death of a child under 8 years-old in Alameda County.
