In Colorado, Isela Reyes-Talamentes will be sentenced in connection with the child abuse death of two-year-old Elijah Archuleta. Ms. Reyes-Talamentes pleaded guilty to child abuse resulting in death in exchange for not facing charges of first-degree murder. Her boyfriend, John Vigil faces first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death charges. Elijah died in November 2008 at St. Anthony Central Hospital. He suffered burn injuries over 75% of his body.
