In Detroit, Michigan, Charlotte C. Wyatt and Leon F. Cole are charged in connection with the death of infant girl, Asia Wyatt. Asia died on Christmas Eve at the age of two-months-old. Detroit Police are handling the investigation. Ms. Wyatt and Mr. Cole are currently in custody. Ms. Wyatt is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse and tampering with evidence. Mr. Cole is charged with involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence and fourth-degree child abuse. Preliminary reports say the baby died on Christmas Eve, but the adults charged in this case allegedly did not contact emergency medical assistance until Christmas Day.
