In Florida, Derrick McNeal is convicted of first-degree murder in connection with the death of two-year-old Demontaye Simmons. Reportedly, Mr. McNeal killed Demontaye Simmons when he tried to run-over his ex-girlfriend with a Dodge Ram pick-up truck at a family barbeque. Demontaye was an innocent bystander during Mr. McNeal’s rage. Sentencing is scheduled to take place in this case. Mr. McNeal may face the death penalty.
