In Georgia | Agency Slow to Collect Fines | Day Care Injury

Reportedly, 3 incidents at local day care centers in Atlanta, fined for incidents, and still have yet to pay the fines for the incidents.  The first reported serious incident included a 2 year old child whom was left alone in a park after a field trip. reported in the second incident, a 4 year old child suffers a head injury when a wooden microwave falls on his head, and the reported third incident occured when a 4 year old child was beaten with a shoe at another day care center.

All day care centers of these reported incidents were fined anywhere from $299.00 to $499.00, and the fines reportedly have yet to be paid to the State.  In fact, reportedly as of last month, nearly one in five child care providers fined during the past five years failed to pay, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution found during the report.
