Settlement for dog bite of baby at daycare
Awarded: $292,000.00
In Lee County, Barbara Ann Fuller was charged with 10 counts of reckless conduct in connection with the death of an infant. Ms. Fuller surrendered to Lee County authorities on Monday, October 27th. In February, a 4-month-old infant, Jace Michael Hester, died while in Fuller’s home daycare center on Dunaway Drive. The daycare investigation uncovered 16 rule violations.
Remember that not all states require background checks or specific training for child care workers. Child care centers may be open and fully operational, but that is not a true measure of adherence to reasonable safety precautions or compliance with mandatory safety requirements.
