In Louisiana, Arielle Smith, 19-year-old, is charged for the death of baby Andre Jenkins. The infant was in Ms. Smith’s care while she was babysitting last September. According to news stories, Ms. Smith put the infant in a dryer and turned it on for three minutes. The baby died at the scene of the crime. In the meantime, Ms. Smith put the other two children that were in her care in another room to quiet them.
