In Oregon, Maxine Polanco has been charged with murder for the death of her two year-old son. Umatilla County District Attorney Dean Gushwa alleges Polanco murdered her son by chronic child abuse. On Friday, the child was taken emergently to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland where the boy died from head and liver trauma.  

According the news stories, the deceased child’s mother, Ms. Polanco, has a past history of drug crimes.
