In Wisconsin, Tanya Kasper, 28 years-old, has been found guilty of a felony second-degree recklessly causing injury to her infant daughter in a recent child abuse case. Repeat offender, Ms. Kasper said that on September 4th, she was stressed out and the baby wouldn’t stop crying so she picked up the baby and threw her on a chair. Ms. Kasper was allegedly getting ready for a job interview when she lost her temper. The baby girl was only four months-old when she suffered permanent disability from the severe brain injury her mother inflicted on her. Ms. Kasper will face sentencing on March 23rd in Winnebago County. She has a prior conviction for drug trafficking from 2007.
The baby girl suffered kidney failure, anemia, respiratory failure and brain injury from the violent episode her mother subjected her too. Physicians in the case said the only way these types of injuries could occur are with violent shaking and repeated blunt trauma. The baby is expected to suffer severe mental and physical disabilities from this assault.
After March 23rd, Ms. Kasper will not have to worry about job interviews and crying babies for a long period of time.
