Lamar Roberts pleaded guilty to child abuse resulting in the death of 7-year-old Zoe Garcia.

In Weld District Court, Lamar Roberts pled guilty to a child abuse charge for the death of 7-year-old Zoe Garcia. Zoe died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries in December 2007. Allegedly, Lamar Roberts and Heather Trujillo were imitating the popular and violent video game known as “Mortal Kombat” when Zoe was mortally wounded. Trujillo and Roberts allegedly confessed that Roberts had kicked and body slammed the seven-year old after he had been drinking. The investigation reveals Zoe had multiple bruises, a fractured wrist, internal bleeding and brain swelling.
