It was with a heavy heart that we learned about the death of 11 year old Tiffany DiCicco Ross, who died after a school bus accident. According to published reports, Tiffany's head was out of the bus window when the bus moved and her head struck another object. The loss which her family, friends and the entire community must feel is beyond words. This tragic loss demonstrates the need to have and follow strict safety rules when transporting children in school buses. A death such as Tiffany's was clearly preventable.
