A 4-month-old girl was severely injured when her father gave her a bath and the water scalded her, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.  The article reports that the Virginia father, 25-year-old Jeffery Morris, was charged with felony child neglect, unlawful felony injury, and failure to secure medical attention for his child after the incident.  Officials reported that no one else was home when the accident occurred, and no medical care was known to be sought immediately following the scalding injury.  When the baby's injuries became worse the next day, officials received notification of the incident.  Thankfully, the girl's injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
