Dakota Harryman, 7 months, killed; grandmother's boyfriend, Glenn Peralta, charged in death

This is a tragic story about a 7 month old infant who was left with her grandmother's boyfriend for about 1/2 an hour while she went shoping. It was reported, upon return, that the infant was visibly injured, and that there was blood present at the scene. She was reportedly treated for severe head injuries, but tragically died a few days later.

Of interest, it is reported that the infant was taken to a hospital for examination the day before the catastrophic event with a "bump" on her head. She was released, and no details of the exam - or wether CPS was contacted - were provided on the blog.
