Fernando Loughlin pleads in the wrongful death of Julian Loughlin|California Child Abuse lawyer

In a very sad story from Oakland, California, it is reported that Fernando Loughlin pled no contest in the case involving the death of Julian Loughlin, his son.  Reports indicate that the father told healthcare providers that he did not originally know how the child was injured, but later admitted to dropping his son in the bathtub.  Whatever actually occurred, this is a very tragic story.  Significantly, Dr. Jim Crawford reportedly convinced prosecutors to proceed with prosecution because of the original misstatements about the history of the injury.  Often, an inconsistent history is a significant factor in investigation of death of children.
