A group called Environment California, together with the San Francisco Department of the
Environment, Center for Environmental Health, and Breast Cancer Fund, has scheduled toy testing events in San Francisco. If you are a parent, you can bring a few toys to test them for the presence of lead, cadmium, and other toxic substances. These chemicals have been linked to negative health effects, including reproductive and hormonal disruptions, developmental and learning disabilities, and cancer.
