In Kansas, Melissa Wells Coons received life in prison in connection with the death of toddler Brooklyn Coons. Melissa is the deceased child’s stepmother. Randy Coons has been charged with aggravated child endangerment. He is the deceased child’s biological father. Sadly, Brooklyn’s real mother had passed away from a sudden illness just six months before Brooklyn’s murder. Brooklyn died from abusive head trauma.
News stories report that Brooklyn’s maternal grandparents, Larry and Mary Crosetto, reported suspicious injuries to authorities on multiple occasions prior to Brooklyn’s tragic and untimely death. Lawsuits are pending.
