5/23/2009The number of cases of severe child abuse has been increasing in these times of economic crisis, according to a recent article in the Miami Herald. While the number of cases reported has appeared to decrease, the number of those that are severe, such as cases of shaken baby syndrome (abusive head trauma) appear to have increased. For more information on the change in child abuse cases, read shaken baby syndrome attorney Chris Keane's blog post on the economic situation and how it affects types of abuse.
