In Minnesota, 2 Moorhead daycares close in wake of sexual abuse charge | Daycare Injury

A 53-year-old Moorhead man whose wife reportedly runs a home day care confessed to police that he reportedly sexually abused a 3-year-old girl while his wife was away at her other day care center, according to a charge filed Monday.
Jon Ralph Pabody reportedly turned himself in to police on Monday and made his first court appearance in Clay County District Court on Tuesday morning on the felony charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Judge Michael Kirk reportedly set bail at $100,000 cash or bond, an amount Pabody said would be impossible for him to meet.
“I have always been law-abiding, and this is the first time I’ve ever done anything, and this is horrible, but …” he said before Kirk began speaking again.

As a condition of bail, Kirk reportedly ordered that Pabody have no contact with children under 18.
