In South Carolina, New Parents to be Educated on Shaken Baby Syndrome | Shaken Baby Syndrome Lawyer

Having a newborn can be extremely stressful for any parent, especially new parents. It's why Palmetto Health Childrens Hospital reportedly says they offer many resources for new parents.

Shaken Baby Syndrome is a form of child abuse, which happens when a baby is shaken violently by a frustrated caregiver, sometimes, that care giver, being a new parent.

"If we shake our babies it can lead to death, babies are very fragile, Wesley says.

In 2008, a state law went into effect in South Carolina requiring all patients to watch a video on Shaking Baby Syndrome to educate new parents. "I think one of the important things to know is that babies are going to cry, that's what babies are going to do" Wesley says.
