Brianna Plehn, 11 year-old, was killed while riding in the back of a pick-up truck that rolled over in a single motor vehicle accident. The driver, Linda Mescher, turned herself in to Burnet County Sherriff’s Department.

In Burnett County a warrant was issued for the arrest of Linda Mescher. Ms. Mescher, 47 years-old, allegedly drove a pick up truck with children under the age of 14 in the truck bed. She lost control of the truck and the crash killed an eleven year old passenger, Brianna Plehn. Other children were injured also, but details are not known.

The investigation revealed that Mescher was having a sleep-over for six children at her horse ranch. According to parents, the children were dropped off with the understanding that they were remaining on Mescher’s property. News stories report that around 01:00 Mescher crashed her vehicle with the children in the bed of the truck. Some time during the evening hours, they had driven from Meschar’s horse ranch to a recreational area.
