In Arizona, Josefa Talavara’s two-year-old daughter is on life support due to injuries consistent with abusive head trauma. The child suffered skull fractures but is expected to survive her injuries. According to news stories, Ms. Talavara’s friend Jermias Aguilar allegedly threw the little girl down onto a cement floor while she was crying. He has been arrested and faces charges of felony child abuse. Ms. Talavara is also under investigation in connection with this matter.
