In Maryland, Miranda Marie Hamilton faces child abuse charges in connection with alleged child abuse injuries suffered by a three-month-old baby. News stories report that Ms. Hamilton was babysitting for the infant in her home when EMS had to be called. Responders from Taneytown Fire Company arrived to find CPR in progress by someone in the household. Authorities from Carroll County Advocacy and Investigation were notified by healthcare providers at Carroll Hospital Center. The injured baby was transferred to Johns Hopkins. Ms. Hamilton was arrested by the Sherriff’s Office after her statements were obtained.
