In Nebraska, Woman accused of abusing child at her day care | Daycare Injury

Reportedly, a Lincoln woman has temporarily lost her day care license after police say a boy in her care was found with suspicious bruises.
The state Department of Health and Human Services reportedly suspended the license of Sonja M. Merrick, 5268 W. Redberry Lane, effective immediately, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.
"As long as her license is suspended, she cannot provide child care to any children other than her own," HHS spokeswoman Marla Augustine said reportedly in a news release.
Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood reportedly said an officer cited Merrick, 42, on March 2. Court records do not list any charges filed.
The injured 2-year-old boy reportedly had bruising that "was consistent with an adult squeezing or holding down the waist area of the victim from the front, leaving thumb/finger-sized bruises on either side of the waist," Flood said.
