In North Carolina, Ronald Everette Smith is charged in connection with the abusive head trauma injuries and death of his infant daughter, Diamond Nicole Smith. Diamond was six-months-old when she passed away on Friday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital. The investigation revealed she had fractured ribs and bleeding in her brain. Mr. Smith has been charged with murder and is held in the Wayne County Jail.
