In Santa Maria, a 16 year-old runaway is being held in jail for the death of a 9-month0ld infant. News stories report that the un-identified male will be held in jail while the investigation in to the death of the infant is conducted. He faces murder charges related to the mortal injuries sustained by the baby. He is also identified as a runaway and a suspect in a robbery out of Ventura. He may be charged as an adult. The deceased baby had a fractured skull with massive head injuries and was taken off of life support because of the severity of his injuries. Allegedly, the baby was shaken to death and dropped to the floor intentionally.
