In South Carolina, Woman arrested following allegations of child abuse at Myrtle Beach preschool | Child Abuse

Parents reportedly contacted Myrtle Beach police on Sept. 21 claiming a teacher at their child’s preschool had harmed their daughter and may have hurt other children.

Police immediately reportedly launched an investigation at the Ocean View Baptist Church Teaching and Learning Center at 7300 North Kings Highway.

Mary Lynn Boggs, 46, of Myrtle Beach, has reportedly been charged with three counts of unlawful conduct towards a child.

On Friday, Boggs reportedly turned herself in to police at about 7 a.m. For the three charges, Boggs was given a personal recognizance bond totally $150,000. A judge also said she cannot contact the families of the victims and cannot work at a daycare center or babysit children other than her own.

According to a Myrtle Beach booking report, Boggs reportedly has no dependents.

Boggs reportedly has no prior convictions according to a State Law Enforcement Division records check, and Myrtle Beach police have no records of prior arrests.

In the initial complaint, the parents said Boggs had reportedly used excessive force to restrain a young girl during nap time at the school.

The alleged abuse, reportedly according to a press release from Myrtle Beach police, was in the 1year old classroom.
