In Tampa, Just For Kids daycare is shut down by order of the court. Hillsborough County served an injunction on Dorothy Ann Sampson-Monroe. Authorities served the injunction on her while she had several children in her daycare. News stories report that Judge Bernard Silver ruled there was sufficient evidence for the threat of harm for children cared for by Dorothy Sampson-Monroe and Just For Kids day care.  

By way of history, Ms. Sampson-Monroe was arrested June 17 for child abuse charges. Allegedly, another woman listed as the daycare owner was not involved in the operations associated with the daycare. Allegedly, Ms. Sampson-Monroe’s day care has been cited for repeated violations of county ordinances, state statutes and state administrative codes resulting in harm to children.
