A 4-month-old girl was severely injured when her father gave her a bath and the water scalded her, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.  The article reports that the Virginia father, 25-year-old Jeffery Morris, was charged with felony child neglect, unlawful felony injury, and failure to secure medical attention for his child after the incident.  Officials reported that no one else was home when the accident occurred, and no medical care was known to be sought immediately following the scalding injury.  When the baby's injuries became worse the next day, officials received notification of the incident.  Thankfully, the girl's injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

As a child injury lawyer and advocate for babies and kids who have sustained burns, scalding injuries, other injuries, or been abused, Chris Keane hopes for the full and fast recovery of the little girl in this incident.  If you have questions about burns or other child injuries, you may contact Chris Keane for free resources and answers for your specific situation.  Click here to fill out an online contact form or call the Keane Law Firm at 1-888-592-KIDS (1-888-592-5437).
