Two state agencies are reportedly investigating reported abuse allegations at a day care center run by the city of Jackson.
Felicia Phillips says until late April, her 2-year-old attended Westside early childhood development center on Wiggins Road.
She says little Quaddrion Herron got scarlet fever after someone at the center scratched him on his face.
The state health department and the department of human services are reportedly investigating the allegations.
Phillips says she wants someone held responsible.
The state health department is also reportedly investigating accusations that an employee at another city-run day care center abused children who were in her care.
The woman works at the Jones early childhood development center.
She's been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is conducted.
That center is located on Martin Luther King Drive.
