In Tennessee, alleged child-abuse at an in-home Hickory Hill day care results in the death of 10-month-old, Wynter Joi Roberts. Memphis police are investigating the circumstances that led to her tragic death. Allegedly the day care owner left the home to run errands and arranged to have two sixteen-year-olds watch the children during her absence. According to news stories, the deceased child’s three-year-old sibling told detectives that one of the teen-ager’s hit the baby, knocked her down, hit her head and said she was asleep. The deceased child was attending this Hickory Hill day care for only three weeks. Allegedly, at the time of her death she had bruises all over her body and the back of her head had evidence consistent with blunt trauma.
