Eleven years ago, Teresa Troganowski was recovering from congestive heart failure and pneumonia. Her infant son, T.J., was being cared for by his father while she was recuperating. That is when T.J. became a victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome. Ms. Troganowski is a divorced mother raising T.J. on her own now in Groton. While she is devoted to raising her son at home, it is not without difficulty. She recently injured her shoulder lifting him. She does have electric mechanical lift, but does not know anyone that can install it. If you know how to assist her with the installation of this lift – please contact Kathleen Megan of the Hartford Courant.courant.com – just follow the link provided.
Often times, parents with injured and disabled children don’t know where to turn or who to ask for help. Please reach out to someone you know that has a disabled child and offer your gift of time and assistance.
