A California vehicle accident in the Imperial County Sand Dunes turned fatal when a 13-year-old from Santee was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Yuma Sun.  The boy was reportedly driving a 2006 Suzuki Quad Racer R450 in the sand dunes when he lost control of the vehicle, which ejected him and caused fatal injuries.  The California Highway Patrol reported that the teenager was wearing a helmet, and there is no suspicion of alcohol or drugs.  The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Child injuries from recreational vehicles are often serious and, sometimes, fatal.  As a child injury attorney and father of two, Chris Keane expresses his deepest sympathies to the family and friends of this teenager.  Although nothing can compensate for the tragic and indescribably difficult loss of a child, certain measures can be taken to help surviving family members as they go through the grieving process.  For more information on child injuries, wrongful death, and how you can receive free help during your time of need, contact Chris Keane of the Keane Law Firm.
