SAN DIEGO – A 24-year-old man, Jorge Galicia, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and torture for the beating death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter.Jorge Galicia avoided a possible death sentence by entering a guilty plea on April 11. It was reported that his girlfriend, Azul Galeana, knew he was abusing the girl, but did nothing to stop it. She pled guilty in May to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 15-years to life behind bars.
