In Riverside County, Anthony Pacheco is behind bars for charges stemming from child abuse injuries his one-year-old step-daughter has sustained. Mr. Pacheco is accused of inflicting severe head and bodily injuries to the little girl. Her condition remains serious at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital. Mr. Pacheco was arrested on Friday, October 24th for the injuries the infant sustained on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Initially she was taken emergently to Desert Regional Medical Center and then later flown to Loma Linda. The child abuse investigation is ongoing and he is the suspect in this case.
