In California, 3 arrested on multiple child abuse charges | California Child Abuse Attorney

Bakersfield police responded to Kern Medical Center on June 12 around 5:02 a.m. in regards to a child abuse investigation involving a two year old.

Due to life-threatening injuries, the child was airlifted to Valley Children's Hospital in Madera, Calif.

Detectives from the Bakersfield Police Department took over the investigation.

Detectives executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Oregon Street related to this investigation, and they found a five-year-old child who was also a victim of child abuse.

The investigation led police to arrest 33-year-old Haroon Pimental, 28-year-old Sarai Alavez, and 34-year-old Kathy Yoval.

All three suspects are charged with attempted murder, torture, assault with a deadly weapon, assault causing great bodily injury, mayhem, felony child abuse and conspiracy to commit crimes.

The two-year-old child is currently in protective custody and is expected to survive.

The five-year-old child is also in protective custody with minor injuries.

All three suspects have been booked into the Kern County Jail and are currently being held on $2,580,000 bail.
