In Ohio, investigators allege nine-week-old baby, Tyson Jones, suffered injuries consistent with non-accidental head trauma also known as shaken baby syndrome. His injuries were reported to Massillon Police Department after healthcare providers at Akron Children’s Hospital discovered them. News stories report Tyson suffered a subdural hematoma, two broken ribs, multiple contusions and retinal bleeding. He has been treated and released into the care of relatives under protective custody arrangements with Children Services. The child abuse investigation is ongoing - there have been no arrests made in this case. The Stark County Prosecutor’s Office is involved in this investigation.
