A Holyoke man is reportedly under arrest, charged with murder, for an alleged case of shaken baby syndrome.
Holyoke Police Capt. Denise Duguay says that 27-year-old Luis Prosper of Holyoke was reportedly arrested in Springfield just before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Duguay adds that Prosper’s arrest is related to a case of shaken baby syndrome, which occurred in Holyoke in 2011.
Prosper appeared in court Wednesday on charges of murder, assault and battery with serious bodily harm, abuse or neglect of a child between the ages of 0 and 18. He pleaded not guilty and is being held on $500,000 bail.
Another court date is reportedly scheduled for June 17.
