Operation Twisted Traveler nets three more American men in a child sex abuse operation in Cambodia. The men are charged with sexual exploitation of Cambodian children. The federal government’s Protection Act was enacted six years ago to strengthen federal laws that address suspected or identified sexual predators traveling abroad to commit sexual crimes with children from other countries. The Justice Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement created Operation Twisted Traveler to capture Americans engaging in the sex trade outside of the United States borders. The government agencies work closely with agencies from other countries to identify perpetrators of this activity.
