In Nebraska, Kearney Man Convicted of Child Abuse in Shaken Baby Case | Shaken Baby Syndrome Attorney

A 23-year-old Kearney man has been convicted of felony child abuse after shaking his girlfriend's 5-month-old daughter.

Trey Tickle will be sentenced in August after being convicted last week in Buffalo County District Court.

Authorities said the infant was treated in December 2012 for vomiting and again in January 2013. The baby was taken to an Omaha hospital for treatment, and doctors there concluded that her injuries were consistent with shaken baby syndrome.

The child's mother, 23-year-old Brittney Schlund, of Kearney, was convicted of felony child abuse for the same incidents.
