In Arizona, Shonda Harper was arrested for charges of felony child abuse. She remains in Pima County Jail. A two year-old girl was critically injured while in Ms. Harper’s care. The tragedy occurred in December 2008. Police have not disclosed details of the child’s injuries, but did reveal that the child was originally taken to University Medical Center and then airlifted to a Phoenix hospital. There were other children in the home that were not harmed but were removed and placed in Child Protective Services custody.
