In California, Day Care Shut Down After Toddler Tests Positive For Marijuana | California Child Injury Attorney

When the parents of a 2-year-old girl reportedly picked her up from preschool Tuesday, they noticed she was strangely lethargic and took her to the hospital.

To the parents' shock, the doctors reportedly said the toddler had tested positive for marijuana, KTLA reports in the video above. The parents, of Montrose, told police they believed their daughter “consumed” marijuana at the day care.

The Southern California day care was soon reportedly shut down, as city officials discovered that it had no power, the toilets were broken and there were rat droppings all over, including on the toys. The kitchen was filthy, and sharp knives were out, according to KTLA.

Roubena Hartounian, 50, was taken into custody on suspicion of child neglect and endangerment at her day care, Bina's Family Child Care, in La Crescenta.
