A suspect in a child abuse case has been charged with attempted murder in a gun battle that seriously wounded two sheriff’s deputies in Southern California.
It is reported that Daniel Witczak pleaded not guilty Thursday from his hospital bed in San Diego. The 30-year-old was reportedly wounded in Monday’s shootout with police at his apartment in suburban Lakeside.
