In Chicago, Cook County Medical Examiner has ruled 11-month-old DaJae Guy’s death is a homicide from child abuse. She was pronounced dead at Children’s Memorial Hospital on Monday. She suffered multiple injuries including broken ribs and head trauma. Chicago Police were notified by hospital staff after DaJae’s injuries were discovered. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services are investigating the allegations of abuse. So far no criminal charges have been brought forth. Allegedly, the boyfriend of the DaJae’s mother is a subject in this investigation and was a subject of 2007 substantiated child abuse in a separate matter.
