In Georgia, the Kennesaw family grieves over the loss of their five-month-old baby girl from family violence. A twelve-year-old cousin remains in custody at the Cobb County Juvenile Facility. News stories report the Cobb County police say the baby was murdered. When police were called to the family car on Dallas Highway, the baby was unresponsive and not breathing. The baby’s mother and twelve year-old male cousin were at the scene. The baby was emergently transported to Kennestone Hospital and then transferred to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston Hospital. The baby did not survive her injuries. An autopsy revealed she succumb to blunt trauma to the head. The twelve-year-old was charged with felony murder and cruelty to children. Authorities have not charged him as an adult as of this posting.
