In Kansas, Anderson Cheffen is charged with murder in connection with the death of 10 month-old Kawliga Alexander Wiseman. Originally, Mr. Cheffen was charged with child abuse, but the charges have been upgraded to first-degree murder. News stories report that baby Kawliga sustained critical injuries on June 17 while in the presence of Mr. Cheffen. Sadly, Kawliga died on June 20. He was pronounced dead at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Kawliga Alexander Wiseman was the son of Brandy Wiseman and Galon King.
Mr. Cheffen remains in custody at the Wyandotte County jail.
