In Los Angeles, the child protective service process failed and six year-old Dae’von Bailey is beaten to death. Some county child protective service authorities, and at least one physician, were aware of a questionable injury pattern and weak explanations for Dae’von Bailey’s bruises and associated injuries prior to his death. The six year-old reported the beatings and some of the adults did not listen. The people that had the power to change the situation did not listen to this child.
An investigation is underway to determine where the pivotal weak link existed in this case.
