News stories report that Ms. Buckley arrived with her infant daughter to the emergency department at St. Alexius Hospital. The baby was dehydrated and malnourished and sadly, died the following day. The death investigation yielded bottles of hard liquor, evidence of marijuana abuse and associated paraphernalia at the home.
News stories did not provide details about the involvement of family members or friends that may have known this infant was being severely neglected.
